Live Lobsters

Live lobsters are a popular seafood choice, known for their sweet, tender meat, and are often served in high-end restaurants or prepared at home. Live Lobster is a good source of protein, vitamin B12, and minerals like zinc and copper but is also relatively low in fat. Live Lobsters is available in 3 different size categories, Chicks, Quarters, and Halves. Chicks weigh at least a pound, typically about 1.1 pounds. Quarters weigh at least 1.25 pounds, typically 1.35 pounds or so, and Halves weigh at least a pound and a half; typically about 1.65 pounds. We don’t ship Jumbo lobsters. They may look impressive, but honestly, you won’t enjoy the tenderness of the meat, so we keep it simple to keep you happy.

How to cook live lobsters

Common methods for cooking live lobsters include:

• Boiling: The most traditional method, where lobsters are steamed or boiled in salted water.

• Grilling: Lobsters can also be split in half and grilled.

• Baking: Baked lobster dishes are often served with garlic butter or sauces.

How to store live lobsters

Live lobsters should be stored in a cool, moist environment. Ideally, keep them in a container with damp seaweed or a cloth. Do not store them in freshwater or in an airtight container
